Amelia Uro

CantorAmelia Uro, has been a cantor and soloist at St. Mary's as well as other diocesan and protestant churches throughout Delaware and Pennsylvania since 1981. She studied voice at Immaculata College and with several private vocal coaches. She has performed in musical theater with the Brandywiners, Salesianum Alumni Theater, and Best of Broadway. She is a past member of The Delaware Chorale, Delaware Singers, The Wilmington School of Music Women's Chorus, and The University of Delaware Choral Union. Amelia has performed classical works in Latin, German, French and Italian. One of the highlights of her musical experience was to sing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Carnegie Hall with a select group (Jubilieran) under the direction of Dr. Peter McCarthy.
