In Isaiah 43:1 God says: “I have called you by name, you are mine.” The invitation to respond to God’s call is extended to anyone who is interested in exploring Catholicism as a way of life. In our parish, this response is coordinated by a group of fully initiated Catholics who make up the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) team. RCIA is not a one-size-fits-all process. We will listen to your story of faith and adapt as necessary to meet your needs.

​Maybe you have never been baptized.

Maybe you have been baptized in another faith.

Maybe you have been baptized Catholic but have not completed full initiation into the Church through Confirmation and/or Eucharist.

Maybe you attend Mass regularly but do not participate in full communion by reception of the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Formation over a period of time includes several elements:

Scripture – the stories of God’s people including our stories.

Teaching – what do Catholics believe? What is faith? Etc.

Prayer – we develop a deeper relationship with God.

Mass – we worship together.

Mission – we live what we believe.

In the Gospel of John (chapter. 1, verses 35-39) the first disciples were with John the Baptist who pointed Jesus out to them:  The next day John was there again with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.”* The two disciples* heard what he said and followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying.
